FCA Wrestling
Established in 2009
Opportunity for Impact:
There are over 9,445 high school teams with 257,346 boys and 5,048 girls participating in the sport of wrestling. Currently, wrestling is the sixth most popular sport for high school athletes and regular participation in wrestling has increased more than 10% in the last year. These numbers show there is tremendous opportunity for the wrestling world to be impacted for Christ by the ministry of FCA Wrestling.
Regional Wrestling Representatives:
- Bill Gifford – Atlanta, GA
- Jim Gruenwald – Greater Chicago Region, IL
- Mike McArthur – Rocky Mountain Region, CO
Ministry Strategy:
- Online Presence and Ministry: FCA Wrestling will collect and promote powerful testimonies of wrestlers, coaches, and friends of the sport whose lives have been impacted by God. This will be done through the use of its network, online video, and other tools.
- Coaches Development and Ministry: FCA Wrestling will implement ministry models strategically designed to minister to local coaches. The goals of the models will include sharing the gospel and equipping coaches and wrestlers with highly effective training and competition techniques. FCA Wrestling will play a role in the identification and/or training of college-level candidates for coaching at faith-based institutions.
- Wrestlers Development and Competitive Ministry: FCA Wrestling will have a strategic presence at major competitive wrestling events across the United States.
