Sean McNamara, Vice President of SSM

Sean McNamara serves as Vice President of Sport-Specific Ministry for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). As a native of Rochester, New York, he attended Bishop Kearney High School where he captained the lacrosse team. From there, he went to Randolph-Macon College (VA) to captain the Division III lacrosse team where he was a standout goaltender. He graduated with a degree in psychology.

Sean went on to coach lacrosse at the high school and collegiate level. This was highlighted by coaching Calvert Hall High School's (MD) State Championship Team and the silver-medal-winning Canadian 2003 U19 National Team.

Sean has served on FCA’s staff since 1999, serving as National Director of FCA Lacrosse from 1999-2007. In his current role with FCA, he serves through the development of Sport-Specific Ministries and the Chaplain program. FCA focuses on impacting the world for Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.

Sean and his wife Anna live in Olathe, Kansas with their three children Grace, Luke, and Caleb.
